Dr. Dillon is the Owner and Chief instructor of Active Threat Response Training.
Dr. Dillon has certificates in Active Shooter Defense from FEMA, Crisis Consultant Group, and has completed ALICE (Alert, Lockdown, Inform, Counter, Evacuate) training, has passed the DHS LASER (Law enforcement Active Shooter Emergency Response) training, is a lifelong Martial Artist, and is a private pilot.
His teaching credentials include both a Masters degree in education as well as a Doctorate in Education. Dr. Dillon brings over thirty years of High School Mathematics teaching, ten years of College Mathematics teaching, and teaching Adult Martial Arts since 1985.
He has developed a system of modified karate and kobudo for older or injured practitioners who wish to remain active in the Martial Arts.
Sensei Brian has taught Women’s self-defense as as a semester University Course, privately, and in group formats.
Dr. Dillon holds a third degree black belt in Parker Kenpo, a sandan in Sokken go kai do ryu, is a certified kali knife and stick instructor, and an NRA and USCCA basic pistol instructor.
He has traveled extensively in Europe, has lived in Mexico, led geological field trips in France and Switzerland, backpacked the Appalachian Trail.
Once fluent in Spanish and French but says, “not so much any more…what you don’t use, you lose” unfortunately!
